Broadcast – a safe pair of hands
Working with the BBC, Channel 4 and UKTV on a variety of projects means Jayne has a great deal of experience of live and pre-recorded studio and location broadcasts on subjects including travel, business, factual entertainment and history.
She skilfully uses talkback and autocue, and is one of the few presenters to excel in the ‘ear prompting’ technique for lengthy scripts (recording links on a digital recorder and then playing them back via an earpiece to ensure word-perfect takes every time). This can make a significant difference to production schedules, especially in locations where autocue is not an option. Years on live television make her a reliable performer, cool under pressure – a safe pair of hands; “a one-take wonder”.
Jayne is an accomplished writer. She studied journalism at the LCP and has written for publications including Condé Nast Traveller and Good Housekeeping. She can therefore make a contribution to scripting and content issues which makes her a real asset to any production team.
